GAME NIGHT!!!!

WE HAD GAME NIGHT ON THURSDAY NIGHT.
昨日（11/5木曜日）の夜にゲームナイトがありました！！

留学生のアドバイザーが企画したイベントです。
The International Students’ Advisers hosted the event.

グループに分かれて、与えられるミッションを協力しながらクリアしていく物となっています。 We made groups to complete missions that were given.
ところで、みなさんこのなぞなぞは解けますか？
By the way, can you guess the answer to this riddle?

長い木と短い木が90度、これはなんでしょう？
One long and one short stick of wood 90 degrees… what is it?
答えが分かったらそれと一緒に写真を撮って、その答えが正確かどうか、もし面白い写真であれば加点されます。
If they could figure out the answer, they would take a photo with that answer (the answer is an object), and they got points if the answer was right. If the photo was funny, then that team could get extra points.
こんなふうに、みんなで考えて、写真を撮って いました。
They thought hard and took photos.

あ、答えは十字架です！分かりました？
Ah, the answer is a cross. Did you get it?
企画者側の私のミッションは、参加者にミッションを与えてクリアできたらサインをするというものでした。
I was a one of the advisers, so I gave everyone a mission to complete in the class room. And the mission that I gave was to dance!!
そして、私が与えたミッションは・・・DANCE!

床でブレイクダンス的なのにチャレンジした人もいれば、仲良くグループのメンバーと手を取ってくるくるとまわるダンスもありました。
One student did break dancing, and one group just held each other’s hands and danced together.

ゲームが進んでいく中、普段の授業も寮も食堂での座る席も違う、話した事のない人と協力し、言葉の壁を越えつつミッションをクリアして行くなか自然と仲良くなっている姿をたくさん見ました。最後には、景品のお菓子やチケットを分け合いつつお互いの名前を確認したり自然と会話が進んでいました。
While the students tried to finish their mission, they worked with people who were not their classmates, dorm mates, meal mates and even people whose name they didn’t know.  But I saw many students getting to know each other and becoming friends. At the end, they shared their prizes and snacks, and naturally started to chat together.

留学生と日本人学生の間を取り持つアドバイザーのミッションも少しはクリアできたのかな・・・
I hope that we advisers did a good job at fulfilling our mission, which is to bring international students and local students together.
とにかく楽しいイベントでした。
Anyway, we had a fun and wonderful time.
