Transfer to TCU

You can’t go back and change the beginning, but you can start where you are and change the ending. -C.S. Lewis

  • Experience Japan.
  • Use your college credits.
  • Save time and money.

How hard is it to transfer to TCU?

What if it was easy to transfer to a college in Japan?

The fact is, it’s a lot easier than most people think. It’s probably cheaper, too. Going to a Christian college in the U.S., for instance, costs about three times as much as going to a private college in Japan.

How many credits will transfer?

What about the work you’ve already done?

We know this is one of the biggest concerns for most people. Many of us at TCU have been in your shoes – or in your parents’ shoes – before. We’ll do our best to help you transfer as many credits as possible.

What if you’ve already graduated from college?

Can you go back to college if you already have a degree?

Yes! That may be unusual in some countries, but not in Japan. And certainly not at TCU.

Times are changing. Yes, many of our students are fresh out of high school. But we also have students who have done a little bit of college, and some who’ve done a lot of college elsewhere.

In Japan, it’s not unheard of for someone with a bachelor’s degree, a master’s degree, or even a PhD to go “back” to college and study theology or Japanese, for instance.

Most people with some college experience decide to transfer to TCU as a 2nd or 3rd year student. But a few prefer to start over as a freshman, fresh from the beginning. We’re flexible! We hope you are, too!

What if you don’t know what year to enter?

When do you need to decide?

You do not need to decide until you’re ready to apply. In the meantime, go ahead and connect with us today!

The easiest way to do that is to take Step 1 to Doing College in Japan. Then, after we connect, you can decide if you want to Check Your Transfer Eligibility or enter as a freshman.
