Kind of Study

The English curriculum is comprised chiefly of liberal arts courses from the following disciplines:

  • Humanities
  • Social Sciences
  • Language and Culture Studies
  • Biblical Studies
  • Theological Studies
  • Inter-Cultural Studies and Missiology
  • Christian Ministry and Field Education
  • Graduation Thesis

In every course, whether in theology or in the “secular” disciplines, the student should learn those analytic, synthetic, logical, and critical skills which, in all generations, have enhanced the life of people fortunate enough to acquire them. Therefore, the courses include a significant writing component. The student who receives the B.A. degree should be able to do original research, think creatively and logically, and present the results of that reflection in coherent and persuasive standard English, both spoken and written.
