Please Support Our Fundraising Efforts for Heavy Rain and Typhoon Damage

From August 13–14, 2026, Chiba experienced the “August 2026 Chiba Heavy Rain Disaster,” and from September 20–21, Typhoon No. 25 caused further damage. As a result, several buildings on the Tokyo Christian University (TCU) campus have suffered water leaks and flooding.
Thankfully, no students, faculty, or staff were injured. However, Zion Dormitory, where our students live, sustained extensive water damage, with rainwater leaking through the ceilings of the stairwells on all three floors, from the first through the third floor. The gymnasium also sustained significant damage from water leaks and flooding.
In addition, water leaks and flooding have been confirmed in several other campus facilities, including the Chapel, Lesson Building, Classroom Building, and Graduate School Building.
We are asking for your generous support as we work to repair the damage and restore our campus facilities so that our students can continue to live and study safely.

Among the damage sustained, the rain leaks at Zion Dormitory and the gymnasium require urgent attention in order to prevent further damage.
Therefore, TCU is launching an Emergency Fundraising Campaign for Heavy Rain and Typhoon Damage to cover the necessary emergency repairs and restoration work.

■ Fundraising Period: Through March 31, 2027
Your generous donations will be used carefully to address the rain leaks and flooding at Zion Dormitory and the gymnasium, as well as to repair other damage caused by the recent heavy rain and typhoon.
