MGMX: What was your inspiration of joining TCU?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n JASON:<\/strong> I first heard about TCU when I was in Japan in 2019 on a one-month trip with OMF. I already knew at that time that God was calling me to Japan, and I also had been thinking about going to a Bible college to study the Bible more. As I looked into TCU a little more, I became excited about the possibility of studying the Bible in Japan, and about TCU’s emphasis on community, fellowship, and church life as part of their education, and the international community that makes up the students and faculty of TCU.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Well, we are so excited of God\u2019s plan in your life here in Japan!<\/p>\n\n\n\n MGMX: What things do you want to challenge yourself with as you do life in TCU or Japan?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n JASON:<\/strong> On a personal level, I want to challenge myself socially. I have a hard time starting conversations, and I can be slow to make friends, so I want to, and have been trying to, be more active with things like talking to people at meals and joining the Volleyball and WaWaWa circles. On a wider level, I want to somehow encourage more connections between Japanese and English track students at TCU. I’ve heard that the two groups can tend to stay separate, with English students mostly spending time with English students and Japanese students mostly spending time with Japanese students. I’ve also seen some of that during my time at TCU so far, although it is not as significant as I thought it would be, at least not yet. I don’t know what to do about bringing the two groups of students together, but I would like to see them closer when I graduate than they are now when I’ve just started. On the level of Japan, I have a particular burden on my heart for the people of Japan’s pornography industry. I would like to somehow be a positive influence within the Church in Japan to bring the Gospel to such people and help rescue them from that kind of life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Thanks, Jason!<\/p>\n\n\n\n Let\u2019s move on to the next person!<\/p>\n\n\n\n It\u2019s Chin from India~~!!!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
